Drawing A Picture of The Sunset View

Yesterday I finished a colored pencil drawing I created of the sunset view of Mount Baldy as seen from the Inland Valley. I used colored pencils to create this composition, and it is now hanging on my wall.

Above is the completed colored pencil drawing of the Mount Baldy sunset.

This is a video slideshow showing how I created that sunset drawing from start to finish.

Drawing Marigolds: Part 1

This is part one of the process of drawing a few marigolds in a green container that I have in my small patio garden.

Here I am beginning to sketch the flowers inside the container from the angle of looking down on it.

In the photograph above I am adding more detail to the sketch of the marigolds.

In photograph above I was beginning to color in one of the yellow and orange flowers, as many marigold flowers multicolored.

Here I am coloring in another flower in the container of my sketch.

Making An Easter Egg Cards

I created this handmade Easter egg card with markers.

In this photograph I have colored in the red egg in the center of the card, and I shaded in the blue egg directly behind it.  Next, I began to color in the red egg, which is further back.

The larger egg has been completely colored in during this phase of the card making process.

This video shows what the completed Easter egg card looks like after I added the green eggs to the illustration.  The largest green egg behind all of the others is cut off, but I like how this pattern looks like a target practice of

Sketching The Pinnacles Part 5

In this segment I finish sketching the Pinnacles, which are a group of boulder laden hills up in the San Bernardino Mountains.

Drawing The Pinnacles
Here I shaded in the trees with a brown colored pencil.

Here I colored in the barn and the ground surrounding the trees.

Drawing The Pinnacles
The only thing left to do is to color in the sky.

The Pinnacles Sketch
The drawing of the Pinnacles is completed. I love how it is slightly more green looking than the actual Pinnacles, but I used artistic license to change the details a bit.
